CONCORD, N.H. — Fiscal Fridays, an interview series on NH1 that has featured 14 candidates for the presidency and New Hampshire congressional seats, continues Oct. 14 with the “Fiscal Fridays Festival” at the Warren B. Rudman Center at the University of New Hampshire School of Law in Concord.

The party nominees for the U.S. House and Senate seats for New Hampshire have been invited to participate in individual, live-audience interviews on the nation’s fiscal and economic challenges. Paul Steinhauser, political director and anchor for NH1, will conduct the 30-minute interviews.

The campaigns have also been invited to host tables and interact with voters in the center’s lobby. The event will last from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

The candidate interviews — with questions from Steinhauser and audience members — will focus on key issues such as the national debt, economic growth, tax policy and the sustainability of Social Security and Medicare.

The interviews will be live-streamed online at NH1 and recorded for later broadcast.

All major party nominees have been invited to participate. The current schedule — subject to change as other candidates sign on to participate — includes Republican House nominees Frank Guinta, the 1st District incumbent, and Jim Lawrence, a businessman seeking to represent the 2nd District.

The interviews will take place in Room 282. Additional details such as parking and an up-to-date schedule of interviews can be found here.

As an event sponsor, NH1 News will be the only media outlet permitted to utilize a live-feed. However, all other media outlets are welcome to attend, cover and record the festival.

Other sponsors of the Fiscal Fridays Festival are the Rudman Center, The Concord Coalition and the Campaign to Fix the Debt.
