CONCORD TO ANNOUNCE APPOINTMENT OF FORMER SENATOR NUNN AS CO-CHAIRMAN

WASHINGTON–Concord Coalition founders Warren Rudman (R-N.H.) and former
Secretary of Commerce Peter Peterson will announce the appointment of
Concord’s new co-chairman, former Sen. Sam Nunn (D-Ga.), and challenge
President Clinton and Congress to get serious about balancing the budget
and reforming entitlements, at an April 3 press conference.

WASHINGTON–Concord Coalition founders Warren Rudman (R-N.H.) and former
Secretary of Commerce Peter Peterson will announce the appointment of
Concord’s new co-chairman, former Sen. Sam Nunn (D-Ga.), and challenge
President Clinton and Congress to get serious about balancing the budget
and reforming entitlements, at an April 3 press conference.

The press conference will take place Thursday, April 3, from 9 a.m.-10
a.m., at the Grand Hyatt Washington Hotel (Constitution Room A). The Grand
Hyatt is located at 1000 H. Street, NW (Metro Center). Rudman, Peterson and
Nunn will be available for questions from the media after opening statements.

Concord’s annual Policy Forum will follow the press conference. This
year’s conference will focus on America’s declining savings rate, and its
impact on long-term economic growth.
