An interview next Monday with Ohio Gov. John Kasich will kick off Your First Budget, a series on the MC22 television network that will give voters in Iowa and elsewhere information on the budget and economic proposals of the presidential candidates.
The interview series is sponsored by First Budget — a joint effort of The Concord Coalition and the Campaign to Fix the Debt — with MC22, a community news network serving Iowa and parts of several other Midwestern states. Jeff Angelo, a media personality and former state senator, will conduct the half-hour interviews.
The interview with Kasich, a Republican presidential candidate, will be broadcast at 6:30 p.m. CST on Monday and at 7:30 p.m. CST on Nov. 12. It will be available to MC22 subscribers in Iowa, Illinois and Minnesota.
In addition, all of the coming interviews will be available on First Budget’s website shortly after they are initially broadcast. A similar series of candidate interviews, Fiscal Fridays, is under way in New Hampshire.
