An interview with Ohio Gov. John Kasich will kick off Fiscal Fridays, a New Hampshire-based TV interview series starting this week on the NH1 News Network that will provide voters with critical information on the budget and economic proposals of 2016 presidential candidates.
The series is sponsored by First Budget -- a joint effort of The Concord Coalition and the Campaign to Fix the Debt -- as well as NH1, the Business and Industry Association of New Hampshire (BIA) and the Warren B. Rudman Center at the University of New Hampshire’s School of Law.
Paul Steinhauser, political director and anchor for NH1, will conduct the interviews on various Fridays in the coming months. The half-hour interviews will be broadcast live. Key topics will include the national debt, Social Security, health care, tax policies, national defense and domestic investments. The interview will be live-streamed here.
The first Fiscal Fridays interview will feature Kasich, a Republican presidential candidate, at 11 a.m. tomorrow before a live audience at the Rudman Center, 2 White St., Concord, N.H. Martin O’Malley, a Democratic presidential candidate and former Maryland governor, will be interviewed at noon on Oct. 16 in the NH1 studio.
