"Chris Swan has long been a friend of the Concord Coalition. He was a frequent
co-host of our 'Hotline 21' weekly show that aired on Chicago Access Cable
Television, where he was unafraid to ask hard questions of Members of Congress
and fiscal policy experts. More recently, he was critical in putting together
our very successful 'Fiscal Wake Up Tour' forum at Drake University. Chris's
dedication to public education on this crucial policy issue is truly
appreciated," said Concord Coalition Field Director Harry Zeeve.
Mr. Swan received the award at a
Concord Coalition discussion hosted by the Greater Des Moines Partnership and
the Des Moines Higher Education Collaborative. Chris Swan graduated from Drake
University and served in Iraq with the Navy in the 1990s. Mr. Swan currently
serves as CEO of RSMR Global Resources, an
Executive Search firm in Chicago. Mr. Swan serves as President of the Alumni
Board for Theta Chi at Drake University (Gamma Tau Chapter), and he served as
Chair of the Cluster Reunion for the alumni (1986-88) organizational committee
in conjunction with the Drake Relays. His efforts were critical in bringing the
"Fiscal Wake Up Tour" to Drake University on February 1st of this year.
