Writing in The Hill's Congress Blog, Concord Coalition Executive Director Robert L. Bixby says the debates should press presidential candidates on how they will pay for their spending and tax plans. The op-ed can also be found here.

All of the Republican presidential candidates say they favor a balanced budget. However, over five hours of televised debate last week, not one of them was asked to explain how this would be accomplished.

This is a critical omission...
