How? Were glad you asked! The Concord Coalition has created a chart talk that you can download using PowerPoint. These slides -- with talking points -- help explain the current and future status of the federal budget with various charts and graphs.
Concord also has printable pamphlets that answer common questions about federal finances. You can print and distribute these pamphlets to educate people about the importance of fiscal responsibility.
"Principles and Priorities" is an educational exercise which provides an excellent simulation in classrooms. By collaborating together in small groups like members of Congress, this exercise allows individuals to entertain various options in an effort to bring our budget into balance.
Whether you teach just one person or an entire auditorium of people, spreading awareness about Americas financial problems is an important part of the solution.

Think you are alone in your concern for Americas fiscal future? Find other individuals who are interested in ending fiscal irresponsibility. Talk to your friends and neighbors or use social networking websites (such as Concords Facebook page) to form an activist group.
If you know others in your community who would be interested in the message of fiscal responsibility, schedule an event. Whether it be by requesting the Fiscal Wake-Up Tour or regional Concord representative for a chart talk, our organization is always interested in participating in any capacity our schedules allow.
The value of numbers cannot be underestimated, so get others involved!

Act to bring about change for Americas fiscal future.
Make noise! blog, comment, and post your opinions about Americas fiscal problems on news websites and political boards online.
Write to your representative to make sure he/she knows that you care about Americas fiscal health. Your Congressman has the power to bring this issue into the spotlight.
Vote! Vote in every election you can in order to ensure your voice is heard. If politicians want your support, make them listen to what you care about.
