WASHINGTON -- Robert Bixby, Executive Director of The Concord Coalition, will testify Thursday, September 28th, before the Senate Finance Committee Subcommittee on Long-Term Growth and Debt Reduction. The hearing is entitled "America's Public Debt: How Do We Keep It From Rising." His testimony will address the long and short-term budget outlook, the importance of public engagement in addressing fiscal challenges such as Concord's non-partisan Fiscal Wake Up Tour, broad options for change, and their associated trade-offs.

Concord Coalition board member and former Congressman Charlie Stenholm will also testify at the hearing on the need for a bipartisan process in finding solutions. His statement will also be available on Concord's website.
