WASHINGTON--Concord Coalition founders Warren Rudman (R-N.H.) and former Secretary of Commerce Peter Peterson will announce the appointment of Concord's new co-chairman, former Sen. Sam Nunn (D-Ga.), and challenge President Clinton and Congress to get serious about balancing the budget and reforming entitlements, at an April 3 press conference.
The press conference will take place Thursday, April 3, from 9 a.m.-10 a.m., at the Grand Hyatt Washington Hotel (Constitution Room A). The Grand Hyatt is located at 1000 H. Street, NW (Metro Center). Rudman, Peterson and Nunn will be available for questions from the media after opening statements.
Concord's annual Policy Forum will follow the press conference. This year's conference will focus on America's declining savings rate, and its impact on long-term economic growth.
