Josh Gordon, policy director of The Concord Coalition, noted that including more than $130 billion in cuts to food stamps expected to be included in Ryan's budget seems especially unrealistic given the farm bill, which cut the program by $8 billion. “The House is already on record passing the farm bill with less in food stamp cuts,” he said. Gordon added that he did see a way for Ryan to balance the budget in ten years, something Ryan did in his budget last year and is expected to do again this year. “Mathematically, I can see how he gets to where he needs to go.”
