'Can We Fix the Deficit?' Budget Exercise in Lawrence, Kansas

Summary:

This buget exercise, led by Concord Coalition Executive Director Robert L. Bixby, explored the complexities of our nation’s budget. Attendees, with some help from former House members Jim Slattery (D-Kan.) and Tom Tauke (R-Iowa), considered ways to reduce projected federal deficits and put the federal budget on a more sustainable long-term path. The Concord Coalition facilitated the event in partnership with the Campaign to Fix the Debt.
