Robert Bixby, Concord's executive director, will run the Principles and Priorities federal budget exercise at the San Jose City Hall Rotunda. The Concord Coalition is pleased to have the San Jose Mercury News as a co-sponsor for this event in which California residents will attempt to make the decisions necessary to move toward a balanced federal budget.

Principles & Priorities is our flagship exercise that has been used in hundreds of High Schools, Colleges and Universities across the country. In it, participants make decisions about the best combination of program spending and tax policies to match with their larger sense of what the principles behind our budgets should be and what priorities the government should place at the forefront of fiscal decision-making.
