The Role of Health Care in our
Nation’s Long-Term Fiscal Challenges
Wednesday, April 13th
11:30am - 1:00pm
UIHC – Atrium Dining Room (7th floor)
Join us for an educational forum to discuss the contributions of health care costs to our nation’s
long-term fiscal challenges. Discussion will include health care reform; the escalating costs of care for patients and their families as well as state and federal budgets; and opportunities for improving publicly-financed health care programs to gain efficiencies and improve value. National
experts look forward to learning about Iowa’s high-quality, low-cost health system.

The Concord Coalition believes that only with an engaged, informed and demanding public can the nation's fiscal challenges be met. The Concord Coalition's mission is to cut through the usual partisan rhetoric and stimulate a more realistic public dialogue on what we want our nation's future to look like, along with the required trade-offs. We believe that elected leaders in Washington know there is a problem, but they are unlikely to act unless forced to by their constituents.
