Summary:

Two graduate Capstone classes conducting a 2-part modified "Principles & Priorities" exercise, including role-playing polticians participating in conference committees from House and Senate Budget Committees.  Students take on the persona of select Congressmen and women, and work through more policy options than the traditional P&P game.  Part I will be conducted on Tuesday morning and Tuesday afternoon; Part II runs Friday morning and afternoon.

In Part I students are provided a introductory 'chart talk' presentation by The Concord Coalition and then begin their committee work, working through various policy options.

About Principles and Priorities Events:

Principles & Priorities is our flagship exercise that has been used in hundreds of High Schools, Colleges and Universities across the country. In it, participants make decisions about the best combination of program spending and tax policies to match with their larger sense of what the principles behind our budgets should be and what priorities the government should place at the forefront of fiscal decision-making.
