Southwest Regional Director Christine Hovde will conduct Principles & Priorities to two sections of economics students.
Professor Erik Huntsinger packed both P&P session with 50+ students and faculty. The groups dove into the exercise and really enjoyed the project. One student, who is writing his thesis on the national debt, mentioned that the exercise helped him with how he was going to write his paper, and that he planned on using Concord Coalition as a primary resource.
Principles & Priorities is our flagship exercise that has been used in hundreds of High Schools, Colleges and Universities across the country. In it, participants make decisions about the best combination of program spending and tax policies to match with their larger sense of what the principles behind our budgets should be and what priorities the government should place at the forefront of fiscal decision-making.
