Chad Laurie is a policy analyst for The Concord Coalition. He works with the organization's policy director, communications director, and others to prepare issue briefs, blogs, and other material for the organization’s website. Laurie also writes for the Washington Budget Report, a newsletter that Concord sends out weekly when Congress is in session.
He conducts policy research in various areas of the federal budget, including health care programs and Social Security. Prior to joining Concord’s staff in 2013, Laurie worked for Sen. Sherrod Brown of Ohio and Rep. Alcee Hastings of Florida.
A former Concord intern, Laurie graduated from Miami University with a bachelors degree in political science and a minor in history.
The Concord Coalition is a national, nonpartisan organization dedicated to fiscal responsibility and reform. It was founded in 1992 by former U.S. Commerce Secretary Peter G. Peterson; Warren Rudman, a Republican senator from New Hampshire, and Paul Tsongas, a former Democratic senator from Massachusetts.
