Chad Laurie is the Digital Media Director for The Concord Coalition. He oversees the operation and continued development of Concord's website and creates interactive features for the site, including several new indicators. Additionally, he develops and executes Concord's social media strategy.
Laurie also serves as a policy analyst for the organization. He works with Concord's policy director, communications director, and other colleagues to prepare issue briefs, blogs, and other material for the organization’s website. He also writes for the Washington Budget Report, a newsletter that Concord sends out weekly when Congress is in session.
Prior to joining Concord’s staff in 2013, Laurie worked for Sen. Sherrod Brown of Ohio and Rep. Alcee Hastings of Florida.
A former Concord intern, Laurie graduated from Miami University with a bachelors degree in political science and a minor in history.
The Concord Coalition is a national, nonpartisan organization dedicated to fiscal responsibility and reform. It was founded in 1992 by former U.S. Commerce Secretary Peter G. Peterson; Warren Rudman, a Republican senator from New Hampshire, and Paul Tsongas, a former Democratic senator from Massachusetts.
