Cliff Isenberg is the Chief Budget Counsel for The Concord Coalition, a nonpartisan organization dedicated to fiscal responsibility. Concord was founded in 1992 by former U.S. Senators Warren Rudman (R-NH) and the late Paul Tsongas (D-MA). Former Senator Sam Nunn (D-GA) now serves as co-chair of the organization.
Mr. Isenberg was named Chief Budget Counsel in April 2010 and came to The Concord Coalition from Capitol Hill, where he handled budget, appropriations, energy, and environmental issues for the Senate Budget Committee, the House Appropriations Committee, and Representative Brad Sherman.
From 1999 to 2003, Mr. Isenberg served as a Policy Analyst at The Concord Coalition and created the first version of The Concord Coalition’s interactive budget exercise “Principles & Priorities.” Mr. Isenberg also previously worked on the staff of the Maryland House of Delegates.
Mr. Isenberg has a bachelor's degree from Washington University in St. Louis and a juris doctorate from the University of Virginia School of Law.
